How to install wordpress

WordPress is a personal publishing and content management system (CMS) software platform, which is a server-side script that allows the creation and distribution of a website made up of textual or multimedia contents that are easily manageable and dynamically updated.

If you want to create your own website with WordPress, we advise you to get one of the Hosting Packages for WordPress, which include both the MySQL database and the free CMS installation.

Otherwise, if you decide to install WordPress by yourself, you first need to have:

  • the WordPress CMS: linked to the official site and download the updated version of WordPress, then unpack the file and load all the files and folders into your hosting;
  • a MySQL database (essential for WordPress to work). Attention: if you chose a basic hosting package, you may not have purchased the MySQL database (if you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact us);
  • an FTP client;
  • the hosting activation email, containing credentials for both the FTP and MySQL connection.

Then proceed as shown here.

Our Customer Service agent is always at your disposal to answer all of your questions and to provide you with more details.
